June Harmon Davenport,
78, of Baxter went home
to be with the Lord on
Tuesday, September 7,
2021. Born November 1,
1942 in Harlan County,
she worked 35 years as an
office manager for Dr.
Fred Howard Dentistry and
believed in the
Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Claude
Harmon and Geneva
Stanfill Harmon; her
husband, Billy Joe
Davenport; one son,
Donnie Ray Davenport; and
two brothers, Bill Harmon
and Robert Harmon.
Jerris is survived by
three children, Teresa
Roy and husband, Bobby,
Baxter; Sheila Shell and
husband, Rodney, Omaha,
Nebraska; and Melinda
Nolan and husband, Bill,
Baxter; and one brother,
Layton Harmon,
Pennsylvania. Also
surviving are eight
grandchildren, LeAnn
Chasteen, Brent Roy,
Casey Huff, Addison
Nolan, Ashley Lewis, Seth
Davenport, Tyler Shell
and Ryan Shell; and 10
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5
until 8 p.m. Thursday in
the chapel of the Harlan
Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be
conducted at 1 p.m.
Friday, September 10,
2021, in the chapel of
the Harlan Funeral Home
with Pastor Greg Abraham
officiating.
Burial will follow in the
Resthaven Cemetery with
grandsons and sons-in-law
serving as pallbearers.
