Carol Jean Abraham, 83, entered her eternal Heavenly home on Monday morning, November 9, 2020 at her home in Wallins Creek, KY. She entered this world on December 2, 1936 at Woodbine, KY. She grew up in Black Star Coal Camp and graduated Salutatorian of Black Star High School in 1954. After attending nursing school, she worked as an LPN nurse at Miner’s Memorial Hospital in Harlan during the 1960’s. After marrying Bill Abraham in 1958, they later opened Abraham Music in 1964. She waited on countless customers over many years at the music store, and so often shared her faith in the Lord with them. She remained working there until August of 2018, at the age of 81.


She served the Lord in many different areas of ministry while raising her children. She was the treasurer of Molus Pentecostal Church for many years abd also helped with Sunday School, Youth, Vacation Bible School and Ladies Ministries director. Carol served her family well as a loving wife, homemaker, mother and prayer warrior while keeping Christ Jesus Lord of her life and her continual source of strength. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Abraham; her parents, Jacob Helton and Jettie Smith Helton; a grandson, Jared Abraham; and two brothers, Howard Helton and Condred Helton.

Survivors include four children: Brad Abraham and wife Kathy; Penny Lee and husband Roland Bo; Greg Abraham and wife Lisa; and Heidi Abraham, all of Wallins; six grandchildren: Audra (Rick) Rivera; Jessica Nichols; Brittany (Nick) Fields; Mary Elizabeth (Jacob) Lee-Fisher; Megan (Marshall) Tolliver; and Cortney (Austin) Reynolds; seven great-grandchildren: Ethan Nichols, Madeline Kennedy, Enoch Fields, Caroline Fields, Ellie Reynolds, Isabel Rivera and Aliyah Tolliver; as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation for Carol will be from 5 – 7 pm Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Harvest Worship Center, 111 North Main Street, Harlan, Kentucky.

Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Greg Abraham, Rev. Roland Bo Lee and Rev. Odie Carroll officiating.

Private interment services will be held at Resthaven Cemetery.
