Mr. Bill R. Abraham, 78, of Wallins Creek, KY joined his Savior on Sunday morning, October 27, 2013, at UK Medical Center after a long illness.

He leaves to mourn his passing and rejoice in his reward, his wife of 55 years, Carol J. Abraham, and four children, Brad (Kathy) Abraham, Penny (Roland Bo) Lee, Greg (Lisa) Abraham, and Heidi Abraham, all of Wallins Creek, KY. Also he leaves six granddaughters: Audra Abraham of Lexington, KY, Jessica Nichols of Louisville, KY, Brittany (Nick) Fields of London, KY, Mary Elizabeth Lee, Megan Abraham and Cortney Abraham, all of Wallins Creek, KY and one great-grandson, Ethan Nichols of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Joyce Horn, of Corbin, KY and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben L. and Mary E. Abraham of Wallins Creek, KY, sister Dorothy Thomas of New Lexington, OH, and brother Ben Abraham, Jr. of Harlan, KY, grandson Jared Abraham of Wallins Creek, KY, special brothers-in-law William (Bubby) Thomas of New Lexington, OH, William (Sonny) Horn of Corbin, KY, and a sister-in-law Joyce Abraham of Harlan, KY.


He was born August 17, 1935 in Pineville, KY. After graduating from Wallins High School in 1953, he served 4 years in the Korean War. Upon returning home, he founded Abraham Music in 1964 with his wife Carol, which continues today in both Harlan and Middlesboro, KY. Bill exceled at growing his business, winning numerous manufacturer sales awards and recognized nationally by Kimball Piano Co. He will be honored posthumously in Anaheim, CA by the National Association of Musical Merchants in January 2014 for the Milestone Award, honoring his continuous 50 years in business.

He faithfully served the Lord for over 30 years, helping to oversee the building project with Molus Pentecostal Church, where he was Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon and Elder for many years. In his latter life, he was a member of Harvest Worship Center in Harlan, KY, where his son-in-law, Roland Bo Lee, is pastor.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jyotin Chandarana and the staff at the Dialysis Clinic in Harlan, for their compassionate care of our Dad.

Visitation for the public will be held Tuesday evening at Harvest Worship Center from 6:00-9:00pm.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at the church at 2:00pm, officiated by Rev. Ernest Brock, Rev. Glen Wilson and Rev. Ed Houston. Burial services will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
