Daniel Cottrell, 93, of
Wallins, went home to with
the Lord on Thursday, May 11,
2017, at the Harlan App. Reg.
Hospital. Virginia was born
on December 6, 1923 in
Rosehill, VA. She was a
homemaker and a very good
mother, grandmother and a
good Christian who loved the
Lord and believed in the
Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Arthur Cottrell;
her parents, George Daniel
and Minnie Turner Daniel;
three children, Tave Blanton,
Jerry Wayne Cottrell and
Arthur Eugene Cottrell, Jr.;
several brothers and sisters,
and three grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by
six children, Curtis
Eugene Cottrell, Sr. and
wife, Sandra, Wallins;
Ella Wren, Wallins; Billy
Don Cottrell and wife
Kathy, Wallins; David
Boone Cottrell, Harlan;
Earl Allen Cottrell,
Wallins and Rosetta
Osborne and husband,
Rick, Wallins; and one
son-in-law, Eulas Eugene
Blanton, Wallins. Also
surviving are 38
grandchildren and several
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from
6-9 p.m. Monday and 5-7
p.m. Tuesday, May 16,
2017, at the Kentenia
Full Gospel Church in
Wallins with the funeral
service starting at 7
p.m. Graveside services
will be conducted at 9
a.m. on Wednesday at
Resthaven Cemetery.
Friends and family will
serve as pallbearers.
