Brenda Moses Sunrise: 04/08/1948 Setset: 04/15/2012

Brenda Joyce Moses, 64, of Wallins, met her Savior face to face on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the Markey Cancer Center, in Lexington, KY. Born on April 8, 1948, to Velva Young and George Thompson, Brenda was a lifelong resident of Harlan. She was a kind-hearted, gentle soul who loved her family and friends with a passion and was loved by all who knew her. A loving wife and precious mother, Brenda was a faithful member of the Kentenia Full Gospel Church and was well known for her excellence in the kitchen, evident by all the family and friends she fed throughout the years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Thompson and a brother, George "Gabby" Thompson.

Brenda leaves to celebrate her life, her husband of 44 years, George Moses, Jr. of Wallins; five children- Kimberly Gross and husband, Tim, of Wallins; Robin Osborne and husband Tommy, of Bristol, VA; Michael Moses of Wallins; George Moses III, of Wallins; and Jimmy Aslinger of Wallins; four sisters – Wanda Bird of West VA; Carol Wenzel of TN; Joyce Thompson and Shirley Karkazis, both of IL; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kentenia Full Gospel Church, Wallins, KY. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the church with Reverend Ed Houston and Associate Pastor Greg Abraham officiating. Burial will be in the Park Howard Cemetery, Wallins, KY. Family will serve as pallbearers. Harlan Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
